Personal Training

Further Information

Free Consultation

We normally start with a free consultation so we can discuss the kind of training that would be right for you, taking account of your goals, any exercise likes / dislikes and your starting level of fitness. You may be unsure about what to focus on and what types of exercise you’ll enjoy. Don’t worry about that. We can adapt the training approach at any time and initially we're just identifying where to start.

Health Screening / Fitness Assessment

Prior to any exercise we will need to complete a basic health screening which consists of a short questionnaire and a blood pressure test. If you choose to sign-up, we will also complete a body composition analysis to assess your:

  • Body fat percentage

  • Muscle mass

  • Bone density

  • Hydration levels

  • Metabolic age

We can also complete various fitness tests to determine:

  • Cardiovascular fitness

  • Flexibility

  • Muscular strength / endurance

This data will provide valuable insight into your current health & fitness and a baseline for monitoring your future progress.

Your Training Programme

Your plan will be progressive; ensuring good foundations are laid first (physiological and good exercise technique) before moving on to more challenging exercises as your body adapts to the training. Sessions normally last one hour and we will use a variety of exercise equipment such as:

BOSU squats for lower body muscles and improved balance
  • Treadmill

  • Studio Cycle

  • Dumbbells / Barbells

  • Kettlebells

  • Resistance bands

  • Balance trainers, medicine balls, sandbags

  • Your own body weight

We will review your progress on a regular basis to ensure your training remains effective and enjoyable.
